I would love to know what many of you have read this year, are reading now, or are waiting to read in the next few months. Just take a couple of minutes to share, please. I find it intriguing to see what people are reading and then knowing that helps me interact better. It seems to me that people take on a lot of the thoughts of their current authors, more so than their previous, and shape and speak through the filters of their current book into everyday life. I know I do.
Right now I am reading:
Ulysses - James Joyce
Finding Our Way Again: The return of the ancient practices - Brian McLaren
The Spiritual Guide - Michael Molinos (The cover of this book says "Anyone found in possession of this book will be excommunicated" - Papal Decree 1687) That made m pick it up for sure. Why would The Church say this?
The Shack - William P. Young
Life Together - Deitrich Bonhoeffer
Books I just ordered:
The Epistles to the Colossiana, to Philemon, and to the Ephesians - F.F. Bruce
The Message of Ephesians - John Stott
Ephesians - James Montgomery Boice
The Letter to the Ephesians - Peter O'Brien
God & Empire - John Dominic Crossan
Books I just finished:
The Alchemist - Paulo Coehlo
The Practice of the presence of God - Brother Lawrence
too many books...i case you somehow missed it, I'm reading Brother's Karamazov by Dostoevsky. Almost finished!
